Information for Potential Translators
We believe that all who Spirit urges to translate the works of Dr. Holmes for the greater good of the world will be supported by life in this process according to his or her own belief.
RSI views all translations of Ernest Holmes work as independent ventures by individual freelance translators in the field. RSI does not offer payment for translations; RSI does not commission translations or retain professional translators except for a vote by the Board of Education or Board of Directors to do so.
After a translation is finished, the translator sends either hard copy or diskette to Rev. Margo Ruark, Chair of Translations Department who will find a minister to verify the translation.
The minister doing the verification receives a tithe to their church and/or other service recognition as appropriate.
After the corrections are made, the minister returns the hard copy or diskette to the translator who discusses and incorporates the changes as appropriate. At its discretion, RSI International Committee may reimburse both the translator and the verifier for photocopying, postage, and international phone calls with appropriate documentation in US dollars.
RSI becomes the publisher for E-versions only and launches the book(s) off the RSI website. RSI will set the price, advertise, promote, provide download technology and support, and process payments for downloads. RSI will also secure the permission to publish from the copyright holder(s) and negotiate royalty payments for use of the material.
Regardless of the publication format or media, a 20% royalty on units sold will be paid to the translator once a year.
A certificate of recommendation signed by the President of RSI, as the "official translation" will be issued to the translator to assist in commercial publishing of the book in his/her homeland, which is always encouraged.
