The Science of Mind™ 100 Series
The SOM™ 100 Series is designed to give the student a solid background in the theory and practice of metaphysical principles. Four classes, each eight weeks in length, are offered. The dates and times of each class are determined locally, by the RSI member church.
Science of Mind 100 may be taught in any combination of the following options to equal 80 hours
Option One:
SOM 100, consisting of: SCIENCE OF MIND 101 – The Spiritual Path (20 hours) SCIENCE OF MIND 102 – Spiritual Mind Treatment: The Nature of Effective Prayer (20 hours) SCIENCE OF MIND 103 – Building a Healing Consciousness (20 hours) SCIENCE OF MIND 104 – Principles of Successful Living (20 hours)
Option Two:
SOM 100, United Foundations Course (to equal 45 hours).Order CD from United. The Foundations Course equals two units of SOM 100. The other two units may be SOM 103, SOM 104 or Spiritual Practices for Daily Living (described below) or Roots (described below) or from any combination of the above.
Units are to be taught in increments of not more than one lesson per week. Students may not take more than one unit at a time for credit. Note: SOM 100 and 200 may not be completed by a student in less than two (2) years.
A student may enroll in the SOM 100 Series and SOM 200 Series for credit in any sequence and be awarded certificates accordingly. However, a student may not take SOM 100 and 200 units simultaneously for credit.
The tuition for SOM 100 is a minimum of $440 for the entire course, $110 per unit which includes a $10 recording fee. Optional rates are allowed for spouses, review students and high school students.
RSIAS will issue a Certificate of Completion upon the completion of SOM 100. The required attendance is 80%. Certificates of Completion must be requested from RSIAS within ninety (90) days of the student’s completion of SOM 100.

SOM™ 101: The Spiritual Path
The Spiritual Path introduces students to the background, history, and beginnings of Science of Mind™ as well as to a new concept of God. Classes explore how god relates to the individual and how thought creates our personal reality. This course covers the first 60 pages of The Science of Mind®, and introduces the steps of spiritual mind treatment, also known as affirmative prayer.

SOM™ 102: The Nature of Effective Prayer
Spiritual Mind Treatment: The Nature of Effective Prayer is designed to give the student a thorough understanding of the nature and practice of affirmative prayer. SOM 102 incorporates exercises that develop the student's understanding of how to pray effectively for themselves. Participants practice by writing spiritual mind treatments. This course covers pages 63-83 in The Science of Mind™.

SOM™ 103: Building a Healing Consciousness
In Building a Healing Consciousness, students deepen their understanding of effective spiritual mind treatment, and develop a greater understanding of the nature of the creative process in the individual. The student will begin building a healing consciousness through their affirmative prayer work. This course covers pages 111-128 and 163-186 in The Science of Mind™.

SOM™ 104: The Principles of Successful Living
In The Principles of Successful Living, students explore the role of consciousness in co-creating his or her own life. developing a positive, life-affirming consciousness is one of the goals of this class. Upon successful completion, participants will have a greater understanding of our place in this spiritual universe and our relation to the one creative source. This course covers pages 266-321 in The Science of Mind™.

United Foundations Course
This class focuses on the student developing lifetime habits of meditation and Spiritual Mind Treatment. Spiritual Mind Treatment for oneself is reviewed and strengthened, and then students advance to treating for other people.

Exploring Roots 2003
This class provides the student with an understanding of the historical roots in America of Ernest Holmes’ philosophy. Specific emphasis will be given to the works of Thomas Troward, Emma Curtis Hopkins, and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
